So...admittedly I have let my already pathetic blogging habit slip into nonexistence, but here's part of the reason.

We started out 2009 with a huge change. We traded in the townhouse for a larger 4br/2.5ba single family home in a great development in Hampstead. The townhouse only took 12 days to get a contract and fortunately, the house was a foreclosure so we got a great deal. Unfortunately, the house was a foreclosure. Since moving in we've been fixing lots of little "character flaws" courtesy of the former occupants including holes drilled into the bathroom drain pipes causing them to drip into the basement and kitchen ceiling, sensors removed from the garage door, and removal of the freon and accompanying pipes/wires to the A/C unit. Moving is always fun! Good news for you locals that are looking for a plumber or HVAC guys--I've got a couple great ones! I'm still working through the boxes and the house is still contractor white but we are finally getting settled. There are tons of kids in the neighborhood and Hampstead is a great little town...kind of Brookville-esque!

What a gorgeous house! I'm happy for you guys! Good luck with all the renovations...at least you get to make things as you like them!
So glad I checked your blog. The house looks so cute!! Congrats on the big move. Hopefully you won't find anymore unfortunate surprises. Where in Hampstead is it? Who still lives up there? That is a longer commute for Matt, how is his job these days? HOW ARE YOU???? We haven't talked in a while. I hope that all is well!
